General information on donations

When making a bank transfer, please make sure to designate it as a donation and state the exact purpose of the donation.

For example

• "Donation day care centre Sellin - new balance bike"
• "Donation cat aid Göhren"

Donations to the Office include

• Donations to the local fire brigades
• Donations to the local daycare centres, schools and youth clubs
• Donations for specific projects in the local communities

Acceptance of donations

• Donations of up to €100.00 must be accepted by the mayors.
• Donations of € 100.01 or more are accepted by the municipal councils.

Donation confirmations

• Since 2021, donation receipts have only been issued for amounts of €300.00 or more.
• For donations under € 300.00, the tax office only needs proof that the money was transferred. In the case of cash payments, the payment receipt is sufficient. If the tax office responsible for you does require a donation receipt, we will issue this promptly upon your request.
• Donation confirmations may only be issued after the donation has been accepted.
